Frequently Asked Questions
We get it. You want to know the details before planning your evening out. Below are answers to real concerns visitors like you have had:
Is this tour kid-appropriate?
Our tours contain content for mature audiences. But you know your children and that's left up to you. We do not recommend bringing children in strollers because sometimes that can be difficult with larger walking groups.
How long do the tours last?
Tours last about 90 minutes. Opting for the Private Reading adds a half hour to your tour.
Is there a lot of walking?
Our tours generally span about two miles. There will be stops to catch your breath. We recommend shoes suitable for a hike and water bottle. We do not recommend the tour for those with mobility / health conditions
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing something comfortable, including comfortable shoes, as the tour is about a 90 minute walking tour. Clothing and shoes should also be weather appropriate.
Is there parking?
Hocking Hills has designated parking at the various trails
Somerset has plenty of street parking in the area, especially on Main St.
What is my ticket?
Please show your emailed ticket/receipt to your guide when you arrive at your tour
Where does the tour meet?
Please check your Tour description for the spot your Tour Meets
Are photos allowed?
Yes, We encourage our guests to take plenty of photos as long as they are not disruptive to the tour. We do ask that you refrain from taking videos.
Do we use ghost hunting equipment?
Yes we do ! And you will be given an EMF detector to use during the tour.
If I'm unable to attend the tour/event can my purchase be refunded?
Unfortunately we are unable to refund tickets. Just like any other performance, once a seat has been held it is difficult and often impossible for us to resell or fill the space. If more than 24 hours notice is given, we may be able to transfer you to another future tour or event.
What happens if it rains?
The tours are done rain or shine. If people show up, the guide will be there to take them on the tour.
Do other people jump out at you?
No, there are no jump scares or anything of the like. These stories are based on real events and the city’s history.
